Greed had always and everywhere been considered a vice by ancient civilizations until Adam Smith, the Anglosphere, and the USA turned it into a virtue. As a result our planet and our species are now threatened in their very survival. Time to dethrone greed and replace it with cooperation as the cardinal virtue.
